businessman, father, step father, husband, ex- husband, son, stepson,
partner, ex-partner, writer, and philosopher.

no brag just fact” In the spirit of old Walter here’s some
interesting facts about the author. When
Doug wrote THE CHERRY TREE he was 50 years young. His attitude is
he’s halfway there. Doug’s first marriage began at age 18. It
lasted 23 years and resulted in two wonderful children and a lot of
experience. During this time he built and sold three successful
companies and worked extensively as a business consultant. By age 29
Doug took his national chain of instant printing centers called Print
Shack public. By age 32 Doug’s company was listed in INC Magazine as the
14th fastest growing new franchise company in the country. A
few years later Doug sold his interest in Print Shack and built EXPOTECH,
a series of computer and business equipment trade shows. The events
became a mainstay for the business communities of Florida’s West Coast.
Doug sold EXPOTECH and took his investments into real estate. Today,
Doug and Sherri, his beautiful wife of 8 years continue to invest in
real estate in the Florida Keys and the mountains of Western North
Carolina. They concentrate on living a well balanced and happy life
